EDUCATION
When Dr. James Romanelli recognized his calling, he dedicated himself to becoming one of the leading plastic surgeons on Long Island. His journey took him from his hometown of Cold Harbor Spring to college in Indiana and surgical training in Texas before returning to Long Island. 
Dr. Romanelli received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1978 and his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in 1982. He then completed eight years of post-graduate specialty training in general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand surgery.
