Dr. Zachary was born in Yorkshire, England. Following his medical school education at the , University of London, he trained in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. In 1985 he moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan for his formal Mohs fellowship training. He subsequently returned to the UK to set up London's first Mohs Surgery and Laser Surgery unit.
